in Rand McNally hamburgers eat people

December 5th, 2005 @ 11:14am (PT) by Rebecca Bollwitt

i’m waiting for a fax…i have a few mins to write an entry although work is incredibly busy this morning. this weekend was fun. went to Banana Leaf for dinner on friday night with Lolo – man that was tasty. there’s SO much good food in this city. Saturday we went home for dinner and spend most of sunday with my mom.

It was snowing so hard in Surrey – kids on toboggans, snowmen in yards… unfortunately we don’t see that much build up downtown. it’s all concrete and non-snow-friendly…alas… it was nice to spend some time in another part of the lower mainland. I blame my boyfriend, he brought the snow with him. Although it’s not so much blame as…giggly-child-like excitement and appreciation for winter-type things in December – which is rare around here.
the canucks beat boston last night (5-2), yippee – they have the most wicked home record (12-1) …i won’t even mention their away record though. their next game isn’t until Friday… FRIDAY! no going out for beers and watching the game at our favourite place (which I won’t mention because we always manage to get a table and if i rant on here about how great it is all my readers will rush there to watch all the games)…yeah “all my readers” hehe hi Jenny!
While ‘back home’ this weekend, found out that Doug McCallum (former mayor of Surrey) wanted to run for Federal office — for the Tories! Oh my… he was pretty okay for putting Surrey on the map, bringing in more business etc… but when it comes down to it, would you rather have a decent education for your child and a bed in a hospital if need be — or an 80 storey monstrosity at King George Station? — This just in! He’s out of the race for not submitting his papers on time, read more here.
