The Cubs affiliate was in town yesterday for a nooner to take on our home team (affiliated with the Oakland A’s). It was my first baseball experience EVER in Vancouver and man, it was a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, John (with his ‘cubby blue’ blood) was still cheering for the Boise Hawks and they ended up defeating the Vancouver Canadians.

Thanks to my mother for the free tickets and cash card (pre-loaded, yeehaw!) we filled up on beer and hotdogs and spent all of yesterday afternoon in the sunshine at Nat Bailey stadium. Although I really should have put on some sunscreen that morning but I wasn’t thinking - I’m a complete lobster today.

It’s fun just to be outside on a gorgeous day, but toss in a competitive sport, cheerful crowd and John’s love of the game that he’s trying to bestow upon me and you have one FANTASTIC Friday.
