Lions Gate Photo Blog

By Miss604

John and I are finally settling in after about 5 hours of walking around town and through Stanley Park. I went somewhere I haven’t ever been before - the deck of Lions Gate…on foot. The pictures from our mini hike speak for themselves so here they are a couple taken with my phone. The rest can be found on my Flickr tag: LionsGateTrek.

Update: Podcast of our little trip is now up on RadioZoom

Looks like a fun trip.. I’ve never walked it.. I should try sometime..

Ran it once - it’s the only bridge in the city worth running except it’s a little out of the way. Burrard is a good short one to run over. Running Lion’s Gate gave some insight that you wouldn’t otherwise have, like how heading to North Vancouver it’s short-but-steep uphill and then long downhill. So I was told - it was all difficult for me. :-P

Great shots, and now I feel guilty.

I’ve walked the entire span of the Golden Gate Bridge, but not once have I attempted the same o’er good Lions Gate.

    Guilty …

Holy crap! And a suspension bridge, no less. If there was any wind, you can feel it moving ever so slightly…gets ya a little freaked out.
