John and I actually met MJ in early 2006 at a Vancouver Podcast Meetup, it was so long ago in fact that the blog post I wrote about it is in my old Blogger format and looks really ugly - but I’ll link to it anyway [Miss604]. I think John’s actually had MJ’s business card handy ever since. She’s a realtor who’s been running a blog, Urbanista, for several years and is very in tune with the booming Vancouver real estate market.

While searching for my home, I became enthralled with real estate. I decided to become a Realtor and joined the RE/MAX Masters Realty team, based out of West Vancouver… …I also have a keen interest in technology, its impact on how business is conducted and how a society communicates. As a Realtor I am at the forefront of utilizing technology to sell real estate. [Urbanista]

Every now and then John will say “check this out”, turn me around in my chair and we’ll ooh and ahh over some amazing houses that we can’t afford but would love to some day. There’s more to MJ’s site than listings, she has a full blog where she lists open houses, helpful tidbits for homeowners (e.g. Property Taxes Due) and anything else of interest she wants to share with her readers.
