Canucks Photo Post

Because sometimes a good night out just deserves to be seen in Flickr photo form. Keira landed us some tickets for tonight’s game so we made sure to celebrate the Canucks‘ return to the ice in this, their first pre-season game vs Anaheim.

We had wings at Wings on Granville, they were very yummy. We also wished Darren a Happy Birthday. Darren is good people. Here he is enjoying his birthday gift from Keira:

The beer cup lids at GM Place now have non-spill/easy-sip lids. I call them the “sippy cup” beer. They are brilliant.

There’s MacIntyre, he started in goal for the 2nd and 3rd periods. Sanford was in for the 1st.

We have matching shirts with opposite colours, and I’m smiling a toothy smile because the Canucks tied the game up at 2… not because Keira has her hand on my thigh or anything….

Me, texting updates to John although the cell phone service in GM Place was less than desirable - same as the outcome of the game. The Canucks lost 3-2 in overtime but overall it was a pretty good ‘first game back’.

   Your buddy Darren is doing the shot wrong! He’s supposed to take it in the lap of a lady! That’s the whole point of a muffdive shot!

   The ’sippy cup’ beer is cool, no more spilly drinkers at GM Place! So I am guessing Luongo isn’t in as bad shape as they said he was? A shot to the collarbone or something during a intrasquad game?

   I hope I can go see a game this year, I saw one last year.

   they must have forgotten to mention to Salo not to hurt himself against his own team and that’s why they lost. either that or the jerseys are cursed.
   i notice that no Oiler injured himself and they won and they’re jersey looks normal. *cough*

   oh lord i had to do a muff dive at my staggette. but they are fun, but not in that way i married a woman.
