I never actually went in there, but it is an institution. The irony is that Granville Street is much-improved over twenty years ago–no XXX theatres, no prostitutes, fewer junkies. Unfortunately that improvement has come at the hands of national retailers and sucked a lot of the character out of the street. Combine that with the mobs of suburbanites who invade on the weekends, and it’s become a less attractive street.
