Mason Raymond Mention on How I Met Your Mother
In honor of our boys kicking some serious NJ Devil a$$ tonight, Luongo getting a shut out and Alanah’s live blogging, here’s a clip folks have been buzzing about lately: Mason Raymond is mentioned on the hit CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother”. Yes, Neil Patrick Harris’ character disses the Canucks name-drop. Cool.
Side note: If you sponsor me for the Skate for a Cure I may have the chance to meet Mason too!

Cool, they won. Must go watch highlights. Hockey is always the butt of a joke on American network television. I’m reminded of a good bit from “The West Wing”, about everybody always being surprised when there’s a goal in a hockey game. It’s a good point, actually.

for Cobie Smulders’ character Robin, I’m constantly surprised by the frequent references on the show to Robin’s (and Cobie’s) homeland. I often forget the actress hails from Funcouver, too.
definitely one of the best shows out there. I like the references to the ‘real thanksgiving’ Robin does.
The writers are probably Canadian… finding ways to slide minute bites of Canadiana into American network TV.
It’s really a pretty good reference considering he’s only played 13 games in his whole career… the show was probably written before he was sent down to the Moose the last time…
Interesting insight into the life-cycle of a TV show.
