MM is closing? Thanks for letting me know. I'm sad! :( Any idea why it's closing? (Don't tell me it's to build a shiny glass tower condo building there.)

Just for the record, last night I googled "Vancouver blog" and you were top spot. Just saying :D And I'm with Ghosty and Duane - why change what's working? If it's not broken, don't fix it. Now, in my case... I *do* need a lot of fixing! ;)

I used to put so much thought into how to improve page rank, but page rank is honestly just that. A rank per page and not the site.

As a result I've found there to be a large fluctuation in terms of the rank Google gives for the main url of blogs fluctuating anywhere down to a 0, however popular indivdual posts always tend to have a PR that fluctuates less.

Then again the content you write and things you do on your blog are what give it personality and the draw that keeps people coming, so I wouldn't change a thing in my opinion. :)

I spent about two weeks thinking of ways I could rearrange my site to improve page rank and traffic, and then ultimately I just realized that my content should stand on its own. I wouldn't worry about link fests either -- after a few days they fall off your main page anyways. And while google updates it's "public" page rank every 3 - 6 months, they actually update an internal one daily, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Time to camp.
