I have a different Vancouver version of Monopoly from the latter part of the 1990s that I was given when I worked in marketing at the head office of Duthie Books. The manufacturer needed our permission to include us as a space on the board and I got a sample as a thank you. I still have it somewhere in storage. The tokens include a hiking boot, an umbrella, and a totem pole, but no bongs or mountain bikes.

Poleconomy was good, but I always prefered “Power Play”. Still have the original game with Canucks logo on the box, and Kurt Oranenbach’s (sp) smiling face.

Uhg! I lived a short cocktail glass throw from Big Bam Boo for years…… Gotta tell you, I hated that place around 3am when the drunk stumblers would “yahoo” by my window….. Ahhh… Vancouver back in the day….

Awww…it warms my heart to see the old BCTV logo. Global BC pales in comparison to the days when Tony and Pamela ruled the streets of this city.

I totally missed out on Vancouveropoly growing up. The North Shore seems under-represented. Maybe we didn’t play in protest of that?
