Even though this session happened a while ago, this is still really useful info. The section about not being ‘wordy’ or verbose is great and a useful reminder that readers have so little time to get our messages that we must keep them short.

The Readability site is something I only came across a few days ago and it has changed my writing style entirely already! That final paragraph is the key for me though. SEO isn’t the be all and end all. However much traffic you manage to get to your site, it is no good if the information or the product is poor. Search engines don’t buy!!

Thanks for some of the writing tips. I found it difficult sometimes to come up with a good landing page that really grabs the site visitor. Eventually I would get it, but not after wasting precious time. By learning some of the techniques you discussed, I was able to curb the time it took for me to come up with something viable for the product of service. Fortunately, you explained things in such a way that even the most inexperienced person new to this field can practice and incorporate some of these techniques in every-day copyrighting duties. I never attended that particular session as it was a toss up between the Conversion Optimization panel and “Crawford’s” panel. Now I’m glad I didn’t attend as you have done a swell job in your most excellent summary and I don’t feel that I have missed much!
