Fantastic presentation (as read through Tris's liveblogging). One question: Why did you sully it by mentioning my crap? :)

Thanks for the shout out! Your total presentation has some wonderful points that I really need to absorb.

Great talk! I also thought you sounded quite good un-mic'd.

What really struck me is how you looked at blogging from a branding angle which has made me rethink the voicing and content of my blog. Thanks!

I think you did a great job, covered all the main basis and spoke loud enough for (I can only speak for myself, but I assume) for most of us to hear. You spoke slowly and clearly. A mike would of helped, but you worked without one like the true pro you are. Kudos to you Rebecca.

Just got caught up on the event via Raul's notes and Tris' liveblogging: realllly awesome. Looks like you covered a lot of great points. If I hadn't been drowning in 70s feminist art at the Vancouvert Art Gallery, this would have been a great night to catch, fo sho.

Hi Rebecca,

Being one of the lurkers in the back of that very crowded Granville Room last night, and I just wanted to drop a short note on how much I enjoyed listening in. You nailed all of the basic questions I had about what to do when first starting a blog. I think people were mostly understanding about the limitations of the venue (although a couple of us kept on giving the stink eye to that loud couple at the bar). I guess I'm committing one of the fallacies already by not posting a website... ;) Anyway, great talk, you definitely sparked my interest and appetite for online blogging!

HI Rebecca,

This is off topic a bit, but I wanted to tell you, if you need an amplification system for your events, there is a great, handy little unit called the Roland AC-60, its a mini portable amp/speaker system all in one. You can plug a mic into it and the sound would easily reach everyone in that room. Its one box, so its super easy to carry around with you, and a handy tool to have if you need a bit of extra vocal/volume for your speaking events, which have no proper PA set up. :)

(In fact any music store will have a number of items like this unit, just go in and ask the staff in the PA section, or if you are really interested to find out more, but don't want to go in there youself, email me and I will go with you and make sure you get what you want)

Best, Rach.
