You nailed all of the basic questions I had about what to do when first starting a blog. I think people were mostly understanding about the limitations of the venue (although a couple of us kept on giving the stink eye to that loud couple at the bar). You can plug a mic into it and the sound would easily reach everyone in that room. Its one box, so its super easy to carry around with you, and a handy tool to have if you need a bit of extra vocal/volume for your speaking events, which have no proper PA set up. :) (In fact any music store will have a number of items like this unit, just go in and ask the staff in the PA section, or if you are really interested to find out more, but don't want to go in there youself, email me and I will go with you and make sure you get what you want) Best, Rach.
