I am a rock photographer myself, and sad that i missed this, both attending, and perhaps lending a voice to it, but i think it was well put together, and must have been amazing.

is there a video available, or going to be available for the whole thing?

Thanks for the righteous live bloggage. Was a total treat to explore the great photos and the stories behind them. I have a few questions i didn’t get to so maybe i’ll post them up and let you know for future reference.

I nearly cheered out loud when Kris Krug suggested the idea of every venue having a house photographer – such a good idea. Rock history is human history, perhaps one of the greatest sources of a feeling of ‘connectedness’ in the world. Those images evoke the music, which in turn evokes shared human experience at every gig. Documenting that is so important. It is the absolute opposite to the way most people think of pop music, as something transitory. Live music is about something lasting, because it is something shared between musicians and audiences, and between members of that audience decades later. Thank god people are taking pictures of it.

Great post – I am a commercial photographer and have been focusing more on lifestyle work – I am really excited to start adding more musicians to my portfolio. Exciting and scary. Thanks for this post.
