This evening the Tech Valley Social Club held it’s first tweetup at the Dublin Crossing Pub in Surrey. The Meet n Tweet saw about 60 people gather to talk about social media, technology, Twitter, and business practices. It was fantastic to be a part of it all and to have a chance to speak for the group.
Rachael was taking video all evening and will have something up in the near future on her blog.
I also picked up Raul and brought him out to the meetup with me – it was nice to have him to chat with in the car while it took us two hours to get through rush hour traffic.
Big thanks to Domain 7 for organizing this event and I look forward to more “East of the Fraser” meetups in the future — stay tuned to MeetnTweet.ca for more information and updates. It was a great event… thanks so much for facing bridge traffic to share with us!
I didn’t get a chance to connect in person with you, but I hope to tweet with you. I’m @susancarraretto and also I tweet with my twin sister Janice on a shared account @5minutesformom. My @susancarraretto is a rather new account that I’m just starting to build up.
My sister Janice and I have been very active in the mom blogging world since 2006, but we haven’t participated in much locally yet… so last night was a great step towards meeting local peeps.
