How about Japantown – the Powell Street area? Vancouver City Councillor Geoff Meggs and I took a group through the area – one of the walking tours for the Japantown Multicultural Neighbourhood Celebration earlier this year. We stopped and talked about Chapel Arts, Carnegie Library/City Hall, Main & Alexander, Gore&Cordova, Oppenheimer Park, Japanese Language School, Ballantyne Pier, and Japanese Camp and Millworkers Union (544 Powell). Some dramatic changes in the area.

if you can find some other photos/ info about all the other bridges that head into the heart of Vancouver.

or some of the streets in Vancouver like Broadway, Cambie etc

maybe do a history before and after in each burb of the lower-mainland (be interesting to see) after you finish your Vancouver before and afters
