My favourite moment is when the medalists are receiving their medals. Three individuals or three teams, through all their devotion to practising day after day after day, realize their goal and receive a medal.

I am so excited about Vancouver hosting the Olympics! I wish I could be there in person but sadly it to expensive for those of us on limited/low income. But you can bet your boots, we’ll be watching them on TV everyday! I’d love to win a chance to meet her, she is a fantastic athlete and is such a nice person!

I have a few favourite moments,

Being old enough to remember watching the Calgary open ceremonies as well watching bobsledding and speed skating for the 1st time and being hooked.

Even though I’m not a hockey fan, I still remember when Women’s hockey became a Olympic sport 12 year ago.

Whenever I see that giant Canada Flag at closing in the crowd.

Whenever a Canadian is taking part in a sport even if they don’t medal I cheer for them. If they do medal I get teary eyed when I hear our anthem.

My best Olympic memory will be made this year when I’m in Whistler! The men’s hockey gold in 2002 was another good one though!

I have very fond memories of the 1988 Calgary Olympics. The Jamaican bobsled team, Eddie Edwards, Matti Nykanaen..those were the days!

Of all the times i’ve watched the olympics nothing can be as sad as when countries had to bow out because of some strange people who haven’t got a clue on life and think it is a great time to kill people because they want to.We have to be strong in life and the OLYMPICS is a time when the world shows their strength and togetherness as a world that can come together no many what.GOD BLESS THE ALL THE COUNTRIES AND FANS WHO WILL BE THERE AND KEEP EVERYONE SAFE.I will be there and can’t wait to see my first olympic in person all the way fromm Sault Ste Marie On.
