Cloverdale Rodeo 2010

The 2010 Cloverdale Rodeo and Exposition is coming to Surrey this weekend, May 21st to 24th. The Rodeo is chock-full of events for young and old, cowboys n’ cowgals, and just those who like a good old fashioned country fair.

Bareback Riding
Saddle Bronc Riding
Bull Riding
Ladies Barrel Racing
Rodeo performance tickets start at $15

121st Annual Country Fair Events
The Fraser Valley’s largest Midway (games & rides)
Interactive Kidz Zone to keep kids of all ages laughing and learning
Mechanical Bull Riding
4H and animal displays
Country Fair admission tickets are $10 and children 7 years old and younger get in free

Saloons & Concerts
54-40 will perform at the kick-off concert May 20th
Daily concerts will include over a dozen acts

There will also be a parade Saturday morning, a Trade Show, and a little something called Bed Races on Thursday night.

Even if you’re not a fan of rodeo events themselves, I hear that the country fair is a highlight of the year for many. If the weather holds (or not) it could make for a really great family outing this weekend – just be prepared for mini-donuts, cotton candy, and plenty of cowboy hats.
