I'm one of the organizers of the event and one of the main goals is to give people a chance to get to know the local charities better through the videos. You do wonderful things with your blog and it's great to see that you are always promoting all types of different charity/fundraising events in the community and furthering your readers awareness of the various events going on in Vancouver. This is a great way to promote awareness However< I find it hard to believe that the BC Children's Hospital is considered an under-promoted charity. Watch Global and every hour there is at least 2 commercials promoting their various initiatives (including their video submission for this contest). Jeans Day is also a very well known BCCH campaign as well they receive tremendous corporate and private support. Although not as widely promoted, David Suzuki's foundation is also a very widely recognized charity in Vancouver. These are both wonderful charities that do amazing things and I am not saying they are undeseserving but if the goal of the contest is to help recognize under-promoted charities, these two fondations should not be involved.
