The crowd that usually attends the event is mostly interested in the family bog tours, which had to be cancelled. Also, there were many messages sent out on the Friday prior to the Bog Days event regarding the closure of the bog, which forced many to believe that the event was cancelled. Last year was a major exception to this annual event. Due to extremely hot and dry weather, the Delta Nature Reserve was closed due to a fire risk. The crowd that usually attends the event is mostly interested in the family bog tours, which had to be cancelled.

Sheer lack of entertainment, and the bog itself was closed down. Stayed there for 20 minutes, then left. Kids and wife weren't happy too. Needless to say, never going back again.
