Just ahead of the launch of their 40th season, Mayor Gregor Robertson will proclaim October 4th “Canucks Day in Vancouver”.

Head over to City Hall on Monday October 4th at 12:00pm to join the Mayor, Council, Canucks Sports & Entertainment owner Francesco Aquilini, President and General Manager Mike Gillis and Chief Operating Officer Victor de Bonis as well as Canucks mascot Fin. The Mayor will make the proclamation as the Canucks flag is raised.

The last “Canucks Day in Vancouver” was celebrated April 27th, 2010 after the Canucks made it to the second round of the NHL playoffs last season.

    I love the Canucks and all but doesn’t Robertson have anything better to do? The last Canucks Day was less than 6 months ago and that was to celebrate the fact we made it to the second round.

    We sure don’t have very high standards.

    Mayor Gregor Robertson = The teacher in school that wanted to be friends with the students and insisted they call him by his first name.
