City Chase Vancouver 2011
byMitsubishi City Chase returns to Vancouver this month as teams compete in the world’s largest urban adventure series.
Last year over 30,000 people participated in City Chase around the world, enduring various physical, intellectual, adventurous and humourous challenges. Taking off from Granville Square on the morning of August 27th, teams can only get from checkpoint to checkpoint by city bus, ferry, train, subway, or streetcar — so be sure to wear your running shoes.
For registering, each team will receive a reserved entry, a participant gift bag, official City Chase t-shirts, race numbers, one-day all access transit pass, access to the ChasePoints Challenges, access to the City Chase after-party, and a memorable experience exploring Vancouver.

My friend and I took part in the Amazing Hunt 2010 Transit Race and won. After that, we were invited back for the All Stars.. which we also won! Safe to say, I think we’re pretty damn good at urban race/scavenger hunt type of things.
This is the first year I’ve heard of this and really want to join! Can only imagine how fun it will be to explore new places in Vancouver, and have always wanted to wear a participant ##!
I really want to do this with my fiancé. It looks so much fun!
After being in Vancouver when the City Chase was on, I thought it would be really fun to do but I was still dealing with being sick & weight issues.
Now I’m 100% healthy, have lost over 65lbs, & am training for a half marathon! I visit Vancouver at least twice a month for work now & would live to add the milestone of completing the City Chase Vancouver to my list!! What an awesome accomplishment that would be!!! 🙂

I think this would be a great experience to take part in with my husband. Definitely out of our comfort zone but would be a lot of fun.
I really want to do this event with my 20 year old son. I have Multiple Sclerosis and I know that before too long, I won’t be able to do things like this anymore. I’m trying to do as much as I can for as long as I can. Our best mother-son memories have been crazy adventures we’ve been on together, including white water tubing and riding the Zip line during the 2010 Games. It would be wonderful to be able to participate in City Chase.

My husband and I are city chase fanatics! We love our city and would love nothing more than to participate in this year’s race.
I cannot drive so I take public transit everyday and this City Chase would be such an awesome opportunity to go around the city that I love using public transit!
I would love to do this race with my boyfriend as we are thinking about marriage and getting engaged soon. if we can do this, we can do anything!
This would be a great way to get my mojo back after some rough setbacks in the last while…a great bonding activity as well! Would love to do this!

I NEED to go! I missed the one in Kelowna as I was attending an out of town funeral. I have lost 55lbs and have spent most of my time working as I just started my own business! I’m getting married next year and I’m having a tough time deciding on my best man because I have quite a few good friends, but I have one in mind and going through this race with him, might bring out some things I didn’t know about him.
I would LOVE to do this again! My boyfriend and I have raced twice in previous years but I can’t afford it this year as I’m in my last semester of nursing school – PLEASE enter me for FREE 😀 – We are super-duper fun!

I’d love to participate because I’ve had a great summer with this new girl. We met on Canada Day and participating in this activity would cap off our super summer with lots of smiles.
I’d love to participate with my buddy cause it’s a greatttt time to just enjoy the day and have fun! Especially when 30 000 other people are doing it! Haha. Plus, who doesn’t want to be in the city’s own version of Amazing Race!!

My official team-mate & I, participated in the 1st Vancouver City Chase a few years ago and even got interviewed for the TV Series they were filming.. At the time we were just friends, but the director noticed some sparks and told us to invite him to our wedding.. well guess what.. We are now engaged! So this would be a great way to celebrate!! Team name: Its on like Donkey Kong.

My husband and I used to be unfit, this year we have gotten fit and would love to use that fitness to compete in this year’s race!

I would love to participate with my husband. Because I work week days and he works weekends, we never spend too much time together. If I win this prize it would be a great excuse for him to ask for a day off and finally spend a full day together, in our lovely Vancouver!

I would do the chase with my husband. We always tease each other that if we ever did the city chase, I’m the brains and he’s the brawn.
I’ve done city chase three times now and this is my favourite race of the year.
I’ve only done the race once with my boyfriend, when we first started going out — I’d love to do it again with him to see if our teamwork has improved after two years of dating. 😉

The only thing I can kick my partner’s ass in is the Grouse Grind. Everything else, including cooking, he’s probably better at. I’d like to do the City Chase with him to show him I can keep up and I’m just as awesome as he is! =D

Wow that looks fun and painful all at once. My buddy Mike did that last year and he said it was a blast but he weighs like half of what I do.
I had to miss the Vancouver Urban Rush this year, but I would really like to participate in this event!

This Looks AWESOME!!! Having just finished the warrior dash in Whistler and raising a ton of money for Theatre Terrific’s Fringe show I would run this event and do it for them too!!!
