Wedding Shows 2013: Vancouver, Abbotsford, Langley, Richmond, Victoria, Sunshine Coast

Two lovely ladies in my life are engaged to be married to the men that make their lives complete. Being involved with both ceremonies, I have had wedding on the brain for the last few weeks and have put together a list of upcoming bridal shows that will help brides to be plan their special days:

Abbotsford

It’s My Wedding Show
Location: TRADEX (1190 Cornell St, next to Abbotsford Airport)
Dates: Saturday, January 12 and Sunday, January 13, 2013
Times: 10:00am to 6:00pm each day
Admission: $16* advance or $18* at the door.
Notes: Meet Monte Durham (from Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta) by purchasing the Meet and Greet package for $36 in advance or $40 at the door.

Langley

Cinderella Bridal Show
Location: Princess and the Pea B&B (21628 48 Ave)
Dates: Tuesday, March 5, 2013
Times: 5:00pm to 9:00pm
Admission: Free, no ticket required, no pre-registration required. Arrive anytime.
Notes: Brides can enter to win a $3,000 honeymoon package and every bride receives a free printed invitation set for their wedding. There will also be a Bridal Swap Meet at the same time and location.

Fraser Valley Wedding Show
Location: Coast Hotel & Convention Centre, Cascades Casino
Dates: Monday, March 4, 2013
Times: 4:00pm to 8:00pm
Admission: General admission is $5* at the door, $1 from every ticket sale will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society. Kids 12 and under are free.
Notes: Over 40 wedding specialists, complimentary gift bags and bridal tea, cake-off decorating contest, interactive fashion show, vendor seminars, prizes, and more.

Richmond

A Wedding Affair
Location: River Rock Casino Resort’s Whistler Ballroom (8811 River Road)
Dates: Sunday, February 24, 2013
Times: 12:30pm to 4:30pm
Admission: Complimentary admission for pre-registered brides. All non registered brides and guests will be charged $10* cash at the door. Online registration closes Friday, February 22, 2013.
Notes: Includes an interactive show to showcase some fashion and exhibitors, and a grand prize draw for $5,000.

Modern Brides Wedding Expo
Location: Radisson Vancouver Airport (8181 Cambie Road)
Dates: Sunday, February 17, 2013
Times: 11:00am to 6:0pm
Admission: Advance tickets are $15* each and $20* each at the door.
Notes: Over 70 exhibitors, bridal seminars, fashion show and a grand prize draw valued at $2,000. First 300 registered brides receive a complimentary Bridal Planning Guide.

Sunshine Coast

Inspirations: Sunshine Coast Wedding Fair
Location: Sechelt Seniors Centre (5604 Trail Ave)
Dates: Saturday, January 12, 2013
Times: 11:00am to 4:00pm
Admission: Not posted.
Notes: The largest bridal fair on the Sunshine Coast. Includes a food, fashion, and a grand prize showcase draw valued at $2,000.

Vancouver

Indie I Do: Vancouver’s Sassiest Bridal Show
Location: Heritage Hall (3102 Main St)
Dates: Saturday, January 26, 2013
Times: 11:00am to 5:00pm
Admission: Advance tickets are $15* each (or 4 for $50*) and $20* each at the door.
Notes: Over 30 local vendors, swag bags for the first 30 couples through the doors, roaming fashion shows & entertainment.

Engage, The Bridal Show
Location: Vancouver Club (915 West Hastings)
Dates: Sunday, January 20, 2013
Times: 11:00am to 3:00pm
Admission: Tickets are $35* per person and available online in advance.
Notes: Features include a floral gallery, cake gallery, a fashion show, wine tastings, signature cocktail tastings, live music, mini spa and beauty room, prizes, and more.

Original Bridal Swap
Location: Roundhouse Community Centre (181 Roundhouse Mews in Yaletown)
Dates: Sunday, April 7, 2013
Times: 11:00am to 3:00pm
Admission: Buy advance tickets and get early bird access at 10:30am. Tickets are $12*.
Notes: Past brides can register a table to make their “something old” into “something new” for brides-to-be.

Victoria

Canada’s Bridal Exhibition
Location: Pearkes Recreation Centre (3100 Tillicum Road, Saanich)
Dates: Sunday, January 13, 2013
Times: 10:00am to 4:00pm
Admission: Admission is $15* at the door. Advance tickets are available online or at all Vancouver Island Thrifty Foods Locations.
Notes: Vancouver Island’s largest bridal trade show. It will also move to the Florence Filberg Centre in Courtenay the following Sunday, January 20, 2013.
