Trout Lake opened for outdoor ice skating for the first time in 20 years this week, a testament to the cold temperatures experienced across the region. Ringing in 2017 with ice and snow, there are still some intrepid photographers out there capturing the frigid urban beauty of Vancouver. Thanks to those who shared their images with the Miss604 Flickr Group and #Photos604 on Instagram this week:

A chilly Sunrise run, Vancouver, British Columbia

My best friend is leaving for a 2 week trip to Mexico in a few days. She usually is my partner in crime when I go somewhere to take photos, so I will miss her. Usually we end up going for a nice lunch somewhere after our adventures.. Today we both had a day off so we decided to go to North Vancouver and explore a few places. Here is a view of the Lions near the Cleveland Dam in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. ? #MustBeVancouver #ExploreBC #VeryVancouver #photos604 #explorecanada #dailyhivevan #604now #ilovebc #tourcanada #igcanada_ #AdventureVisuals #clevelanddam #GeorgiaStraight #IGS_CAN #igersvancouver #vancityfeature #vancitybuzz #VancouverCanada #igvancouver #vancouver_canada #igbelgium #northvancouver #vancouvering #discovervancouver #narcityvancouver #oh_Canada_ #cityofvancouver #vancityhype #vancouverofficial #thankyoucanada @lmphoto_meetup
