Last weekend we had a great time getting our boots nice and muddy trekking through the forests of the North Shore, which now leads me to adding another mini-adventure to my Metro Vancouver Park Series, Lynn Canyon Park.

While watching the “halibut battle” on Iron Chef tonight I was reminded of an email I received inviting me to the 1st Annual BC Sustainable Seafood Chowder Competition taking place tomorrow at the Vancouver Aquarium.
Come, watch and taste the creations of five of BC’s finest chefs during the first Annual BC Sustainable Seafood Chowder cook-off. [...]

Last year I attended the West End Block Party with Keira (and her hot dog t-shirt). We had a really great time playing some games, touring the transit museum on wheels, and hanging out in our ‘hood on a sunny afternoon.

Outdoor movies have taken Metro Vancouver by storm this summer, with sunny days outnumbering the wet ones, it’s a picturesque way to spend a warm evening. So far folks have already seen Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium at Killarney Community Centre and E.T. at David Lam Park in Yaletown as well as at Hastings Racecourse.

John and I have pretty much been having a staycation this long weekend. We have friends over on the Island celebrating BC150, we took a day trip to Seattle, and yesterday we spent all of $2.50 in bus fare to experience the most amazing trails Metro Vancouver has to offer. As such, here is another [...]

Just in time for the sun to return there will be many events heating up Metro Vancouver this weekend. If you’re not downtown for the Pride Parade on Sunday (kicking off at noon and running all along Robson, down Denman, and up Beach over to Sunset Beach) then there is another festival happening at Holland [...]
