My Vancouver Icons series began as a way to showcase photos of buildings, statues, and everyday Vancouver scenes that have a history that most don’t know. However, there are some subjects are captured more than others when I browse the images that have been added to the Miss604 Flickr Pool. One that keeps popping up [...]

I put the call out on Twitter for sunrise shots since, understandably, we get so many amazing sunsets in Vancouver. One thing I love though is a beautiful sunrise to start the morning. Ronnie Miranda’s gigapixel images (that’s one billion pixels) have captured Vancouver like never before. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with Ronnie, who runs Active Computer Services, on a few Gigapan instrument giveaways and he’s always around town producing more impressive panoramic photos. His latest project is the first-ever gigapixel time-lapse of Vancouver: Click to [...]

Locals know what I’m talking about when I described days that are so clear that you can spot each individual evergreen on the local mountains. Looking North, the Eye of the Wind turns on Grouse while the SkyRide ascends, packed with visitors. It’s the kind of view that makes you pull out your phone to [...]
