Video Podcast Episode 1 Kinda

Comments 13 by Rebecca Bollwitt

Not up for writing a post this morning, or yesterday really for that matter, I sat down at our iMac and recorded a quick 17 minute video podcast. Basically I wanted to wrap up the SXSW series, give some shout outs and name drops, and show off a few new tshirts thanks to John Biehler.

I did edit out all my coughing and you can actually see my hair getting dryer as the video goes on but just remember, I’m not a professional, this is just for fun.

Also, I’m having a few issues with Viddler as this video isn’t actually working for me, although it does look like it’s uploaded. Hopefully the good folks over there will be able to figure this out, but in the meantime here it is in lovely flash player form (although now the audio and video are off *sigh*)

Update: It seems as though nothing it working at this point so here’s a photo of the SXSW shirt supplied by John.

Also, here are some links to names of products I mention in the episode:

VistaPrint.ca
Altoids
Vancouver Metblogs
Utterz

Looks like you took it private… curious. Why did you choose Viddler to host it? I ask becuase I never really looked at them after I saw what Vimeo offers (HD baby, yeah!)

Since I can’t view the video myself, I’m not sure the right version is uploaded, there was an “alternate” ending involved. Once I have everything sorted it should be online and public in several locations.

also, my comment wasn’t meant to be mean… the big earphones and big mic reminded me of that SNL sketch! SNL is a happy thing. No?

there definitely needs to be more places with more swag. or free food. tough call.
the last bag o’ swag I got had lots of free pieces of paper with useless advice about student services at SFU and a bookmark. somehow that doesn’t seem right.

we use Vistaprint at work…. love it – we dont get the free business cars, but we still get more then half of them for free! we may only order a pkg of 250 cards… and on the way to check out – we end up getting another 1000 for free!! Yes – delivery is slow – 5-6 weeks… but we like the choices, plus you can upload your own pictures for the card if you like – we even get our business stamps! and here i thought we were the only ones that knew about vistaprint!

For someone who has been a miss604 reader for only a short time, I must say I enjoyed hearing and seeing you on the video. It gives me a better understanding of who it is who posts such interesting things. I think you did a fine job, even with a fever. I hope you will consider another video post in the future.

  13. Massive Tech Show Recap » Miss604’s Vancouver Blog by Vancouver Blogger Rebecca BollwittTuesday, April 1st, 2008 — 7:51pm PDT

[…] Overall, I think the Massive Tech Show served its purpose for enterprise decision makers – “it is what it is” – and although it’s not any type of event I’m used to attending, it was a pleasure to be included on a panel with such knowledgeable folks. It was also nice to accumulate more to add to my swag pile. […]
