Interview Mania

Comments 3 by Rebecca Bollwitt

Over the last few months I’ve found that my interviewer to interviewee ratio has balanced out. We’ve done fewer podcast interviews however I’ve ramped up the blogger profile series. Also, my TV and radio interviews have steadied (the most recent being Urban Rush in July) while print has almost skyrocketed (with two 24 Hours covers this summer).

With so many projects on the go, and so many people interested in what we do here’s a quick list of recent interviews and coverage since I’d love to promote those who take the time to chat with us. We’re very grateful for all of the exposure.

In the last six weeks I have been interviewed by…

Jeffery's Article… Rebecca Coleman for The Next Stage
Jeffery Simpson for The Georgia Straight
… Kevin Grandia for The Tyee
Erin Mogul for her client’s video – not sure if/when it will appear online but it was still fun to meet Erin.
SpyJournal for their “Geek Girl” series

In the last six weeks I have interviewed…
… Jeff Holloway for E!Online
… Mark Latham of Voter Media for the RadioZoom podcast
… Raj, Lorraine, and Steve for the Vancouver Blogger Profile Series

Upcoming interviews include Hanson on Tuesday for E!Online (and I’ll have the lovely Keira-Anne with me as well) and the following week, my favourite punk-ska band of all time, Less Than Jake. Both band interviews will take place at the Commodore.

I’m also looking for more bloggers to profile in my series so please drop me a note if you’d be interested.

I would be happy to be interviewed by you. My blog views declined precipitously over the summer

I have told CBC Radio One (The Current) that if they are going to play silly “gotcha” tricks like the last interview I did (on SkyTrain fare dodging) then don’t bother to call me. The decline in quality at the CBC in general is dispiriting

Stephen, sure that would be great!

It’ll be interesting to see what Hanson has to say. I’ve seen them interviewed before, but I forget whether or not they were interesting. I bet they’re trying to hold on to whatever celebrity status they still have…
