Vancouver’s first outdoor street dance festival launches this weekend with live performances and all the popping and locking you can handle.

“We’re trying to create an all-ages, all people party atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon in Vancouver.”

This hip hop and breakdancing event takes place at Robson Square from 2:00pm until 7:00pm on Saturday, August 4th. Catch a dance battle, watch performers, listen to live music (from Omar Khan and The Star Captains), and participate in a dance class.

Follow the Vancouver Street Dance Festival on Twitter and Facebook for more information about this free, public event.

Close off the streets to traffic in Vancouver and people will dance. They’ll do swing, salsa, ballroom, and anything that makes their body move. Here are more FREE dance events in Vancouver this summer: Dance at Dusk in Stanley Park, Ballroom Dancing at Robson Square, and Swing Dancing on Granville.
