As promised, April showers have brought May flowers along with a bright and sunny forecast. It’s been rather windy over the last few days but my favourite thing about the cool breeze is that is sweeps over the inlet revealing a crystal clear view of the North Shore. I can look out from downtown Vancouver [...]

The supermoon appeared over Vancouver last night, rising up and glowing brightly as it closely orbited the earth. Photographers who camped out with their tripods captured this effect and have graciously shared the results with the Miss604 Flickr Pool. Enjoy! Although the blossoms in the West End have fallen, covering sidewalks like snowflakes, there are still thousands of trees bursting with spring colours across the city. Photos showcased this week from the Miss604 Flickr Pool all celebrate cherry blossom season. It’s been a gloriously sunny weekend in Vancouver with a parade, patio dining, and the Sun Run this morning. I have neglected to the Miss604 Flickr Pool for well over a week so it was quite the task to piece through all of the amazing spring images that have been submitted. I can’t feature them [...]

The Miss604 Flickr Pool has turned pink this week with the welcome array of cherry blossom photos. If you haven’t had the chance, take some snaps around your neighbourhood, local parks, and even Burrard SkyTrain station of these beautiful petals. In the meantime, enjoy the following photos contributed by readers in this week’s Flickr roundup. [...]

Spring has arrived in Vancouver and delivered us a full weekend of sunshine to kick off the season. Even though the rain will inevitably follow, locals know that it’s for our own good. It will make those blossoms bloom and buds on trees pop with bright shades of green. The following images have been contributed [...]

It’s the last week of winter and although freezing rain and hail may pelt down on the city, the beautiful blossoms of spring will soon be revealed. The following images have been contributed to the Miss604 Flickr Pool over the last week or so and make up my 63rd weekly Flickr roundup. Photo credit: Larissa [...]

Thanks to those that have shared their photos with the Miss604 Flickr Pool I have the 62nd post in the series ready to go. This week is a general collection of images but if you would like to be featured next week, I’ll be looking for black and white photography — before we head into [...]

I put the call out on Twitter for sunrise shots since, understandably, we get so many amazing sunsets in Vancouver. One thing I love though is a beautiful sunrise to start the morning. Thank you to all who responded and shared their delightful dawn depictions and I have included a couple in this week’s collection [...]

It was on this day, February 19, 1986, when the Lions Gate Bridge was illuminated for the first time, a gift from the Guinness family that initially had the bridge built. In honor of this, I have picked out some photos from the Miss604 Flickr Pool. Photo credit: tlmacdonaldphotography on Flickr Photo credit: popejon2 & [...]
